Weed and Plastic Surgery ... what do they have in common??

A pre-recorded live episode from the NCIA Cannabis and Business Expo in Oakland, CA

Join host Michele Garber in an informative episode about how medical cannabis can you with pain, anxiety, panic attacks, sleep disorders and pre and post-op plastic surgery.

Always check with you doctor first.

Weed is a very complicated plant.  Join Michele as she learns about major Cannabinoids in the Cannabis plant and their effects.

The most notable cannabinoid is the phytocannabinoid tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the primary psychoactive compound in cannabis. Cannabidiol (CBD) is another major part of the plant that  is non-psychotropic. It will not give you a high and has anti-inflammatory properties.  THC is also good for pained and nausea.

Michele explores different products, their effects, and how they are delivered into your body. This episode features three medical cannabis companies from the conference.

Listen in to learn about topicals, edibles, and drinkable cannabis-infused products.

Michele spoke with Canadian Chiropractor, Dr.Andrew Kerklaan who recently  launched a line of Cannabis -infused Topicals for Pain Relief, PMS, Skincare and Sleep. Cannabis extracts containing THC and CBD can deliver fast-acting long lasting relief.  "Cannabis can have a very positive effect on our health. Topicals don't get into your blood stream."

Canada is going  federal legal in 2018. To learn more about Dr. Kerklaan Therapeutics

Next up is Renny Bowden from Cannabiniers  a company out of San Diego that recently launched the first flower based edible from the entire flower of the cannabis plant. BrewBudz's product line consists of premium coffee, tea and cocoa delivered in a one hundred percent compostable single brew pod.

You get get the effect of Cannabis through drinking these products. Taking a little at a time is called micro-dosing. It's a discrete way to take your medicine and a great alternative to opiate drugs. Brewbudz will be available in CA and Colorado dispensaries soon.

Michele speaks with Ann-Britt from Medicine Box., a California based company.  Medicine Box features a line of cannabis infused edibles and tinctures. The tinctures are herbal based with THC in different concentrations for anxiety, hormonal support, clear focus, pain and inflammation. They also have edible truffles and nut health bars all infused with cannabis. Follow them on  Instagram and Facebook

Be responsible when taking medical cannabis. Go slowly with edibles. Try half of the recommended amount, wait a couple of hours to see how you feel. The same goes with drinks and tinctures. Always check with your doctor first if you are going to use cannabis instead of opiate drugs before or after any plastic surgery.
